Chapter Sweetheart
Livermore Assembly #246
Livermore, California
Hello California Rainbow!!! I wanted to let all of the girls between the ages of 16-20 know that there is a great opportunity to help out the Masonic Youth Organizations. A chapter sweetheart for DeMolay not only helps the chapter, it is a huge benefactor to all three of the groups. A sweetheart is the liaison between the local chapters, bethels and assemblies. The California Jurisdiction for DeMolay is divided into Northern and Southern California. Each program is slightly different but the intentions are still the same. If you are interested in becoming a chapter sweetheart, or just want more information please email either the Northern California DeMolay Association Sweetheart or the Southern California Jurisdiction Sweetheart.

Now that the "summer traveling" is drawing to a close I would just like to congratulate all of the girls of California Rainbow on their many accomplishments throughout the past year. I have had the privilege of traveling once again this year and meeting many of you and it never ceases to amaze me how many wonderful girls make up this Order. Floor work, Ritual work and everything in between has been absolutely amazing this year! Continue the good work and spread the word of Rainbow into your community to "recruit" new girls so California can meet Lauren's challenge of doubling registration at Grand Assembly 2004. Jen- I feel so lucky to have been able to travel with you this year because you are one of my best friends and we never cease to have fun together...big "L" on the forehead and all! ;) Thanks to ANYONE who has ever shown me any kindness or hospitality throughout this year. YOU are all the future of Rainbow and it is up to all of us to keep this wonderful Order alive! CA Rainbow is the greatest because of all of you!

This is a great website! I attended grand assembly in 1984. My sister was Grand Rep. to California from Illinois. My mom (majority member), sister and I had the best time. We met so many different people tied to such a great organization. Your grand assembly left such an impression on me that I am still remember it vividly to this day. We just had our Grand Assembly session this weekend and one of my girls was appointed Correspondent to California and Hawaii. Hello California Rainbow! Greeting from Florida Rainbow! My name is Andrea and I am Worthy Advisor of my Assembly, Sunshine #108, located in Tarpon Springs, Florida. I was reading the way of life page, and California has a lot of Assemblies! I'd estimate that  Florida has about 65 to 70 Assemblies. Florida's Grand Assembly is tomorrow, June 27 to July 1st! Our Grand Worthy Advisor is Miss Shannon Poole and she is a friend of mine and from my district. Her theme is "Faith Unlocks the Door" and her colors are violet and ivory. Her service project is to Boggy Creek. Grand Assembly is being held at the Belleview Biltmore Hotel and Resort in Clearwater. Some things I noticed different from our jurisdictions is that your Grand Worthy Associate Advisor doesn't move up to Grand Worthy Advisor. In Florida, the Grand Worthy Associate Advisor is the only office that moves up, and she becomes Grand Worthy Advisor the following year. Well, congratulations to all of your 2003-2004 Grand Officers!! Maybe we will see some California Girls at our Grand Assembly! In Rainbow Love and Service, Andrea!

No, I'm not Donna Lisa Bennett, PGWA, but we were from the same Assembly and good friends. I traveled with her a lot during her year, 1977. I LOVED being involved with Rainbow Girls. I miss all my sisters and think of the good times often. Wonder where everyone is now?? Feel free to contact me. Rainbow Love, Donna

Oh, my gosh. I just "got lost" in this fabulous website for about an hour and a half. It almost brought tears to my eyes more than once. I miss California Rainbow! So many wonderful memories. Love the pictures from Grand Assembly. Keep up the excellent work, all of you! It is so important. Anyone who sees this and remembers me, feel free to email. I will be coming back to this site often. It has been so long since I have enjoyed California Rainbow in my daily life. I think of my teen years with wonderful memories, especially now that my own beautiful daughter is 12 years old. My years in Rainbow helped me grow so much as a person and I still think of the lessons I learned as a grown adult. I am currently a middle school teacher (grades 6-8) and value the adults, leaders and girlfriends I had during my teen years, that I am able to be the adult and leader to the children I see daily. Many children today need guidance and my Rainbow life continues to help me. There is nothing more that I want than to see Rainbow continue to grow and help young ladies become good leaders our country will need in the future. Good luck to all in California Rainbow and thanks so much for the times I had. With the website, I am able to keep up with the organization. The website would not be possible without the dedication so I thank you for your time and talents!

Just thought I would check out what Rainbow is up to. Had been involved since I was 12. My daughter is a PWA and graduated college and is on her own. I pray for Rainbow to always be around to help keep our youth involved and safe. Nice web page, keep the Rainbow shinning!

Wow, I have been having so much fun looking at this sight. Rainbow was a big part of my life and it saddens me to see all my local chapters have closed, but it warms my heart to see that the girls who are involved now are as excited about it as I was 20 years ago. Enjoy it girls, meet friends and have a ball.

Hi! I am a PHQ and active Job's Daughter adult. I would like to get back in touch with my college roommate, who was Grand Faith in 1988-89 (I think). He name was Toni Gast (she is now married) and she is a PWA from 244 Whispering Sands in Palm Springs (somewhere around 1985-88). If anyone knows her please forward my e-mail address for her to write. I miss her humorous wisdom. Anyone feel free to write me anytime. Fraternally, sisters!

(Webmaster's note: Toni was Grand Immortality in 1989)
