EL CAJON VALLEY ASSEMBLY'S TRIBUTE
TO THEIR PAST WORTHY ADVISORS

March 22, 1981

WA:
Each of our Past Worthy Advisors has stood where I stand tonight and has helped to steer our "Noah's Ark". You faced many dangers when our boat was small, but you guided it from that frail craft to a splendid ship with a sturdy crew. Because of your efforts, we have picked tonight to honor you, Our Past Worthy Advisors.

WAA:
Our Noah's Ark has traveled many miles during the years since the Rainbow first appeared in the clouds over the El Cajon Valley. There have been many animals who have also traveled on that Ark who helped guide our Worthy Advisors as they in turn have guided our Assembly through good times and bad. The lessons of the Color Stations have given direction to all our lives and had special meaning for those who have wielded the gavel of power and authority.

LOVE:
To all Worthy Advisors, as they have traveled through the chairs, red symbolized the Station of Love. Unlike any of the other colors, we have learned that red is a color that cannot be mixed with any other color and hold its pure hue. This station has taught us that Love, like the color Red, must remain pure to be true.

RELIGION:
The heroic of Religion is presented by the Color Orange. As each of you took your first tentative steps in life, you learned of the great truths of the Holy Bible and as your journeying brought you to the Station of Worthy Advisor, those great truths were always near sustaining you through your term.

NATURE:
Yellow symbolizes Nature in all its glory. How can any Rainbow Girl forget the good times that were had out of doors. Often times, our Worthy Advisors communed with Naturez,-in a somewhat different way however, when they chose for their Mascots, the animals that had inhabited Noah's Ark.

IMMORTALITY
The Bible teaches us that of the two roads in life, one leads through the Gate of Death to the Beauty of Heaven. It is at this station, symbolized by the color Green and its sprig of acacia, that we learn that death is only an open door into another classroom.

FIDELITY:
At this station, represented by the Color Blue, you began to learn the true meaning of Fidelity. Fidelity means Faithfulness for it cannot shine as a jewel of pure light if it is tarnished in any measure by falsehood. As Worthy Advisors, others trusted in you and made you a pattern for their own Fidelity.

PATRIOTISM:
The lecture of our Pot of Gold deals to a great degree with Patriotism. Most of you, as Worthy Advisors, stopped for a term-at the-Station.of Charity and more fully realized the meaning of Patriotism. Our Flag, along with the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States are great building blocks for our Nation. They teach us to strive for a free nation and to fight valiantly for that freedom.

SERVICE:
A Rainbow Girl's life begins in Love and ends in Service. As each of you has served your Assembly as Worthy Advisor, you have learned the true meaning of the Pot of Gold at the end of the Rainbow - that there is nothing in life that creates greater happiness than the giving of loyal service.

FAITH:
The Holy Bible, Symbol of White Light, represents our Faith in God, for Faith in God's ability to answer prayer is necessary to our Spiritual growth-. As Worthy Advisors, you learned that if we have Faith in God, we will trust in Him and worship Him.

HOPE:
Hope is represented by the anchor - a symbol of a life that is secure in right living and thinking. When you stopped for a term at this Station, you learned that there is always Hope. In the darkest hour it comes as a light to those who sit in the darkness and a new hope to those who in a quiet hour will unburden themselves and ask for strength and guidance.

CHARITY:
The whole basic structure of Religion rests upon Charity. As you paused at this Station, you learned that Charity is the desire to share what you have with those who have not. But, it does not mean giving carelessly. Nor does it force its giving where there is no need. A deed of Charity should never be given for selfglorification. It should be as an inspiration from GOD.

WA:
Our Noah's Ark has been filled to overflowing this evening by your acceptance of our invitation to join us and be honored as Past Worthy Advisors. Each of you, in your own- time, was an example for all Rainbow Girls who would follow you. as they too journeyed through their Rainbow Life. But now, you have returned to the ranks and while you no longer hold that elevated position on this "Ship of Faith", we hope that you will always remember that Rainbow Service And that your footsteps will always form a pathway for anyone who would follow in your stead.
