  • Sandra Day O'Connor - Supreme Court Justice

  • Olympia Snowe - Senator, Maine

  • Lee Ann  Meriweather - of Mt. Davidson Assembly, California. She was Miss America in 1955 and Grand Color Bearer during 1955-56. She is perhaps best known for being Catwoman in the 1960's Batman TV series, also the costar of Barnaby Jones.

  • Lily Tomlin - Actress and Comedienne, most memorable as Ernestine, the Operator, "one ringy dingy - snort, snort" and Edith Ann, "And that's the truth, ppbbbbbt!"

  • Dawn Wells - Actress, Maryanne on Gilligan's Island.

  • Ruth Buzzi - Actress and Comedienne, well known for here stint on Laugh-In.

  • Jane Jayroe - Miss America 1967, cabinet secretary for tourism and recreation and executive director of the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department. Journalist and andhorwoman

  • Shawntel Smith - Miss America, 1996

  • Renee Guerin - Actress and performer and writer, understudy for Mary Martin in The Sound of Music and stared as the only American in the Australian production.

  • Jean Marinos -1st woman mayor of Mason City, IA (2002-present)

  • Diane Dethmer Paca - 1st woman elected to the Hancock County Board of Supervisors (Iowa) and the 1st woman chairman thereof. She was also twice appointed to the State Board of Education by both a Republican and a Democratic Governor

  • Jill Kinmont - A world class Olympic skier who was paralyzed in a skiing accident. There is a movie about her life - "The Other Side of the Mountain".
