WHAT WE ARE DOING NOW
Megan Rodriguez Past Grand Worthy Associate Advisor, 2000 After our grand year I continued my education at the
College of San Mateo where I received dual associate
degrees in Speech Communication and Liberal Studies. I
then transferred to California State University, Long
Beach and was awarded a bachelor’s degree in
Journalism, emphasis Public Relations and a minor in
Human Resource Management.

Upon graduation I started my career at BLAZE, a Santa
Monica-based public relations firm where I represented
upscale hotels and resorts in Las Vegas, San Diego,
Los Angeles and the Caribbean. I'm currently Public
Relations Manager with the Long Beach Area Convention
& Visitors Bureau... the job I always wanted ever
since I was their intern in 2003! I cannot express how
happy I am to be back and represent the city that I
love and helps me thrive.

Things with me are fantastic. I live in beautiful Long
Beach and have a super cute apartment right across the
street from the beach. Being a “career woman,” I live
for weekends and usually spend it traveling, lunching,
brunching, shopping and being with family and friends.

Past Grand Representative to Michigan I have been very involved with my local Rainbow assembly, Heart of the Valley. I served as Mother Advisor of Fresno-Clovis assembly before the consolidation of Fresno-Clovis and Golden Realm. I am now on the board of Heart of the Valley. I am also the proud mom of our 2007 Grand Worthy Advisor, Kassie Lee. My oldest daughter Kaitlyn is getting married this year. We are going to be one busy family! And my son, Karson is a sophomore at Buchanon High School in Fresno. In my 'real life' my husband and I own a local HVAC company and stay very busy with that. I also sing with Voices Unlimited Chorus a local chapter of Sweet Adelines International.
Wendy Brown Schollian Past Grand Representative to Ohio I got married to my husband in 98 and entered the interesting life of a Marine Wife. After he returned from Iraq he decided to get out and we moved to Virginia. We now have 2 sons Kyle 4 and Shane 1.
I stay at home with the kids while my husband works, I would love to get involved in Rainbow out here but unfortunately there are no local assemblies or any nearby.
I look forward to hearing from all of you.

My daughter is 14 years old, my boys are 11 and 9 1/2 years. My husband's work brought us here, but we have created a very happy and content life for us and our children. I work in a middle school as a special education teacher. The students are great! My hope is to see my fellow Grand Dragons (1985-86) at our 20 year reunion. I want to see everyone because Rainbow was such a wonderful part of my teen years. I enjoyed having Rainbow in my life. Even after all these years, I still think about my friends and wonder how they are doing, and wish them well. It's great that Rainbow is an international organization! Love, Laura (Smith) DePersis

Merrianne Rust Bieler Past Grand Representative to Oregon, 1973     It's hard to believe it's been thirty years since the Puppies stepped onto the Grand Assembly Floor.  Many things have happened since those days.  The best, of course, is my marriage of 25 years to my husband, Doug.
We have been extremely lucky in our lives.  We were fortunate to live in San Diego and England while working for United States International University.  Keeping in line with our love for education we moved to Corvallis, OR (home of the Oregon Grand Assembly)where Doug worked for Oregon State and I worked for Linfield College and taught Accounting for Linn-Benton Community College.  My teaching experience allowed me to take a full-time teaching position with Peninsula College in Port Angeles, WA.
After teaching for eight years I had the opportunity of working for my EdD at University of Texas and this opportunity gave me the background to become the Assistant Dean of the College of Business at University of Hawaii-Manoa (Honolulu).
Due to family concerns, my husband's retirement, and my love of teaching we decided, after 4 1/2 years, to move back to the mainland.  I was lucky to have found and been hired for the Business/Accounting instructor at Whatcom Community College in Bellingham, WA.  Even though the weather is slightly different from Hawaii, we love being back in the northwest and get back into those many sweaters we hung on to.
